From our experiences of instructing many Americans in learning this language, we have found the following;
1. One should concentrate ones energy on mastering the tool of Pin-yin (phonetics);
2. One can express ones idea by pronouncing the sentence of Pin-yin without remembering the pictographic characters;
3. One will learn and enjoy more if one could remember both pinyin and its corresponding Chinese Characters;
