Plurals (B)

Plurals are expressed by adding other characters without any changes in the nouns themselves. Please note the numeral words in Chinese have their special expressions.

6. John will stay for a week.

约yuē-翰hàn将jiāng停tíng-留liú一yì周zhōu。

7. His wife will stay for two weeks.

他tā-的de妻qī-子zǐ将jiāng停tíng-留liú两liǎng-周zhōu。

8. My family has eight members.

我wǒ-的de家jiā-庭tíng有yǒu八bā-个gè成chéng-员yuán。

9. She wants to buy two shirts.

她tā要yào买mǎi两liǎng-件jiàn衬chèn-衫shān。

10. Try to say your mother’s birth date.

玛mǎ-丽lì要yào买mǎi一yì-双shuāng鞋xié。
