The Comparative Degree (A)

Geng (更) or Bi-jaio (比较) is used to show the comparative degree and Zui (最) to show the superlative degree.

1. This type of car is better.

这zhè-种zhǒng车chē比bǐ-较jiào好hǎo。

2. You can reach there faster.

你nǐ能néng更gèng-快kuài-地de到dào那nà-里lǐ。

3. This one is more beautiful than that one.

这zhè-个gè比bǐ那nà-个gè更gèng漂piào-亮liàng。

4. The climate here is milder.

这zhè-里lǐ的de气qì-候hòu更gèng湿shī-润rùn。

5. Their work is more efficient.

他tā-们mén-的de工gōng-作zuò更gèng有yǒu-效xiào。
