Rules of the Pinyin (phonetics)<8>
8. The Pinyin of a vocabulary formed by more than two Chinese characters should be written one after another without any interval in between.
For example:

zǎoshàng – 早上 |

meaning “morning” |

xǐhuān – 喜欢 |
|
meaning “like” |
But to make learning more convenient for you, we make use hyphen to separate the Pinyin of each character.
For example:

zǎoshàng 早上 meaning “morning” |
|
xǐ-huān 早上 meaning “like” |
