Prepositions are widely used in Chinese but some of the prepositions have a different word order.

1. Your car is outside the gate.

你nǐ-的de车chē在zài门mén外wài。

2. She lives in the city.

她tā住zhù在zài城chéng里lǐ。

3. Your passport is on the desk.

你nǐ-的de护hù-照zhào在zài桌zhuō上shàng。

4. Her shoes are under the bed.

她tā- 的de鞋xié在zài床chuáng下xià。

5. The subway station is behind the hotel.

地dì- 铁tiě 站zhàn在zài旅lǚ-馆guǎn后hòu-面miàn。
