The Comparative Degree (B)

Geng (更) or Bi-jaio (比较) is used to show the comparative degree and Zui (最) to show the superlative degree.

6. He is the oldest among us.

他tā 是shì 我wǒ- 们men 中zhōng- 间jiān 最zuì 年nián- 长zhǎng- 的de 。

7. She is the youngest in our group.

她tā 是shì 我wǒ- 们men 组zǔ- 里lǐ 最zuì 年nián- 轻qīng- 的de 。

8. The Yellow River is one of the longest rivers.

黄huáng- 河hé 是shì 最zuì 长cháng- 的de 河hé 之zhī- 一yī。

9. The Great Wall is one of the greatest human constructions.

长cháng- 城chéng 是shì 人rén- 类lèi 最zuì 伟wěi- 大dà- 的de 建jiàn- 筑zhù 之zhī- 一yī 。

10. The Mount Zhu-mu-lang-ma ( the Everest )is the highest in the world.

珠zhū- 穆mù- 朗lǎng- 玛mǎ- 峰fēng 是shì 世shì- 界jiè 最zuì- 高gāo 峰fēng 。
